Bike Trip 2016
In the summer of 2016, I decided to bike from Ithaca, NY to Minneapolis, MN. This is a distance of about 1000 miles, and I chose to do so with about a week to prepare (I know, silly me).
I ended up biking a little more than 500 miles before my bike trip turned into a slow mobile camping trip with my mom. Although I was making good time and prepared to arrive in Minneapolis when I needed to, I wanted to spend some quality time with my mom and relax a little before I had to start working.
I had excellent adventures while I was biking, and although my small adventure was not as grand as I hoped it would be, it was enriching and exciting and everything a bike trip should be!
Before setting off
Day 1: Ithaca to Sampson State Park
Day 2: Sampson State Park to Rochester, NY
Day 3: Rochester, NY to Lockport, NY
Day 4: Lockport, NY to ~Brantport, ON
Day 5: Brantport, ON to London, ON
Day 6: London, ON to Marine City, MI
Day 7: Marine City, MI to Fenton, MI
Day 8: Fenton, MI to Grand Rapids, MI
The rest of the days
